Backpacking Europe Expenses

So How much does it cost to backpack Europe on a day to day basis?

Getting Around - €15-€25 per day

If you don't intend walking everywhere you will more then likely be catching buses, hiring bicycles, using subways etc. The cost of the various modes of transport will obviously differ but a safe bet is to budget €15-€25 a day specially if you intend on evening entertainment.

Sleeping - €15-€40 per day

Accommodations ranging from hostels to small B&Bs (Larger more developed cities are on the higher end of the estimate, and Eastern Europe generally on the lower end. Hostel prices are higher in the summer and lower in the off season.

Eating -  €15-€25 per day

This is completely dependant on how much you eat, how extravagant you eat and how often.
From street vendors, grocery stores and markets  to cafes, pubs and Restaurant's there are a multitude of options all of which will impact your budget differently.

Entertainment - €20-€35 per day

From Sight-seeing, museum visits and cooking classes to fancy theatres and all-night discos, the cost of entertainment will vary greatly depending on your choices. I have budgeted  €20-€35 per day knowing that some days I will be spending considerably more and some days less - but I will aim to keep at this budget.

TOTALS  =  €65  -  €125 per day

10 days  =  650  -  €1,250
30 days  =  1,950  -  €3,750
60 days  =  €3,900  7,500
90 days  =  €5,850  11,250
