How to Save $450+ on New Apple Computer

1.) You need to be eligible or know of someone eligible for an Apple Education Discount: University or TAFE student, faculty, administrator or staff member, a parent or guardian of university/TAFE applicant or A K-12 teacher, administrator, or staff member.
This will automatically give you a 9 - 10% discount  (I saved $130)

2.) You will need to buy from either an Apple Store Or Apple Online during education pricing between 4th January and 28 March 2011.

3.) Every year Apple has mail-in-rebates available for students & teachers.
2011 there was a Printer Rebate of $130 for any printer brought in conjunction with Apple Computer (Cheapest printer being $130).
Along with the Printer Rebate there was also an Ipod Rebate of $289 for any ipod touch brought in conjunction with Apple Computer (Cheapest ipod touch being $229).
In order to qualify for the rebates they must be purchased at same time as Apple computer.
I purchased the 8gb Touch ($289) along with the HP Printer ($130) - costing $419 at time of purchase - after I mailed in rebate forms and bar codes my rebate was paid into my bank account (6 weeks later)

4.) You now have a free Ipod Touch 8gb and a free HP wireless Printer. You can of course choose to keep these items or sell then to re coupe some more $$$. I sold both The Ipod and the Printer on Ebay:  Ipod $237.50 and HP Printer $85 therefore returning me $322.50

5.) Using My purchase as an example:

Basic Macbook Pro 13 Costs                                          -  $1459

Basic Macbook Pro 13 with education discount 9%         -  $1329
Free Ipod and Printer Sale -                                       minus $322.50

Total cost of Macbook Pro 13            $1006.50
